We are enjoying a busy schedule of events around Edinburgh. This blog will allow you to keep up to date with our progress and performances.
James Gillespie's High School is currently the only state high school in Edinburgh with its own competing pipe band. The band is based within the school and offers tuition to any pupil interested in learning to play the bagpipes or pipe band drums, regardless of age or experience. Neighbourhood pupils are also very welcome. The Band is a member of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Lothian and Borders branch.
Anyone interested in joining our pipe band should contact the JGHS music department or send us a message.
We have performed at several corporate events and are aiming to have the band in highland dress uniform very shortly. If you or your company would be interested in supporting us in this endeavour, or hiring our band, please contact the school. Alternatively you could send us a message from our 'contact us' panel.
